When the brake pedal is depressed the brake switch is released and it completes the circuit and sends power to the brake lights. The brake switch for the light kit is mounted in front of the floor board and the switch is depressed by the brake pedal arm. Is the micro switch for the brake lights and where does it mount You are still able to wire a votlage reducer up because the light kit will also work on 12 volts. The light kit is able to take 48v, but unfortunately the mirrors will not be able to. The wiring does not convert down to 12volts. You would need a 12v source for the lighted mirrors. From what I can see is these mirrors will only work on 12 volts? Would I be able to tie into the lights? I want to order the light/ turn signal kit and also the side mirrors with the integrated turn signals. If I hook up these lights to my 48 volt battery system. The diagram below shows an overview of where those connections are located on your cart. The main attachment points are for the headlights, taillights, turn signal assembly, brake kit assembly, horn, battery connection, and push/pull switch.
